I installed my KKM last night.

Removing the factory Air Box was tricky because I am a SUCKASS when it comes to tools. I need to take a trip to Sears and get some good tools now that I am going to be modifying my Explorer.

Sound: I also have a Gibson Cat-back Exhaust System and combined with the KKM Filter, I am getting the sound of a JUICED UP 350 V8 under the hood. I love it! I raced a Dodge Ram last night and I won! When we took off he heard the roar of my engine and looked over at me amazed. This big sound coming from a much smaller truck, hehehe!

Power: I installed my KKM at a friends Auto Shop and we put it up on the rack to test the Horsepower. Combined with the exhaust system, I have gianed 22 extra horsepower.

awesome, so i have a 96 xlt 4.0 and i'd like to achieve a more powerful sound but not an annoying cheap exhaust sound. is you exhaust system loud all the time, or only when you get on it? i'd like something that doesn't wake the neighbors when driving down the street but at the same time i'd like a little more than what i have now. any advice?
