Well I finally decided to try this baby out. Man I had a blast. I messed up once and didnt check the depth of a mud pit and well...30 minutes later I got pulled out. I almost made it out. Here is a teaser pic. (for the rest go to http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2054940/2)

Rubicons were not meant for mud...
MTR= Might Try Rocks
Rubicon= rocks not mud
and last but not least
Solid Axles suck in the muck... unless you got freaking huge tires

ok so if solid axles suck for mud, what kinda of Differential are you suppose to be using? an IFS?
Nice pictures, now lift it and put some 35"s or 37"s on it....

More accurately, the tires they have aren't the greatest for mud.

yeh That particular hole was eaten away by 4 wheelers. I went through alot of bigger holes with no problem but less confidently. When I got to this one I assumed it wouldnt be too bad but I tried to stay to the right to keep two wheels on solid ground. Once I started sinking though I bottomed out and those two wheels were spinning just as much as the two in the mud. I am positive had I been lifted and on 33s or 35s I wouldnt have bottomed out and I could have easily gotten out...might not have made it through that pit but would have escaped.
You would have made it with the Explorer. :p
Cool pics. Is that place in Auburn? You still at school there? I might be coming next year.

I graduated but am hanging around until (if) I start grad school. Working full time now. The place is called dirty dog and it is in Phenix City about 40 minutes from Auburn. and the explorer would have never had a chance lol. 2wd wouldnt have cut it getting into the park.
