Ok , guys I was so amazed by this thing! My Co-worker Brought it in. You buy it at the store (has to be $$$$) and push a button at the bottom to release the water into the cup. Then you wait and flip it over, then with in 6-8 min. it reaches 140*-145* Then you aline the top , open and drink. This thing is right out of the future, It's Crazy! I found this Blog, with more info and picture on of it. It took them 24 Millon and 10 years to develop this.

I've seen soft pouch versions a few years ago in europe. Basically it was just a pouch of hand warmer chemical reaction stuff strapped to a pouch of cocoa. Start the reaction and bam, instant hot cocoa. I'm betting the trick for the US market was making the heating portion of it out of non-toxic stuff. :p

Energy solutions are everwhere. They're just not being utilized properly. =(

Wonder if any regular coffee drinkers would prefer this over a pot?

Acually, that was the first thing that came to my mind . Think of it it heat's to 140 in 6 to 8 min ahter it's activated. Luckly, that not very hot to do much, or not that I know of anyway.

Personally I would rather spend $50 on batteries and a portable heater element in the cup rather than the $24 million they spent - at least that is reusable. Seems like a lot of work for something that is disposable.
