I own a 96 Sport with the 4.0L OHV V-6. I never see any bolt on exaust systems for the 2 dr, so how much different are the 2 dr and the 4 dr exaust systems. I was thinking I could order a system for a 4 dr and rebend it or cut it to fit. Thanks for any info.

I'm not for sure, but I think that you will need one foe a 2dr because the 2dr is not as long as the 4dr. Right here I have a magazine. I has Borla Exhaust systems. says 1991-1999 ALL $405.60. But above it, it says please specify year, make, model and engine size. This is out of a performance products catalog. I recieved it free from a website. I think it was performance products.com

See here http://www.re-racing.com/index.html
They list P/N 17227 but the tech called me back and said I needed P/N 17246 for the two door.

Hope this helps.

Another question I have is if I buy a flowmaster muffler and bent my own exaust tubing, will it screw up the back pressure? I have been told that you need a certain amount of back pressure for the engine to work right and so it doesn't wear early. Thanks.

PunkChild,

I have a Borla Cat-back system for a '96 Sport for sale (same truck as yours). Check the For Sale section under my name. I'll take $200.00 for it. I live in northern CA.
