Ok i just got my ranger it has a 3.0 in it. The problem is that when i start it in the morning the idle will go from the normal 700rpm to 400rpm and the whole truck will shake. so ill give it gas and then it will go back to 700 and then it will slowely drop back down to 400 and shake like crazy again, but once the truck gets warm that problem goes away. It also seems sluggish.It will also hesiate when i get on the gas too until it gets warmed up. It dosnt need a tune up because i just had one done 100 miles ago and i changed the oil. Could my fuel pump be starting to go bad? Im also only getting 12 miles to the gallon is there anything i can do to help this. Help would be greatly appreciated thanks! :fire:

problem fixed it idles fine now the iac solonide it was just bad so i replaced it but the truck still seems sluggish and is 12mpg normal for a 3.0 thanks :p

i have a 99 ranger with a 3 liter... i average around 19 miles to gallon on the freeway. im not sure how bad it is in the city
