yes i finally got money! so im goin to order my 6" skyjacker lift kit, 3"body lift. so i can fit some 36's iroks in there, what kind of mileage do 36x13.5r15 irok radials get? ill be running 5.13 gears so that shouldnt be a problems

All depends on condition of motor and other various things. I would suspect around 9 mpg. Plus or minus two. I have a friend on 38.5's and gets about 6 mpg in his dodge. Obviously every vehicle is different, but it's a good range to think about.

Damn...thats depressing. At least it will look cool and perform off-road.

If you're worried about gas milage you shouldn't be lifting 9" and putting on 36's...but I'd do it anyway if I could.

hes talking about the tread life on the tires. they should atleast last about 30,000 miles.

they should atleast last about 30,000 miles.

agreed, i would think around 30,000 mi. with a good alignment and rotating often. guy i work with told me he ruined his swampers in 10,000 mi simply by not rotating them. seems kinda quick to ruin them just by not rotating them but its what he said. so make sure and rotate them frequently. keep them balanced properly and keep up a good alignment.

if i regear to 5.13 i should get good gas mileage like around 17mpg with a 4cyl

You deffinilty need to re-gear! 36"s are pretty big too, you may want to consider upgrading to d44ttb outers on your ttb, you get bigger breaks, bigger bearings, and a stronger front end. It's not bolt on but it's not "hard".

Also...ditch the 3" body lift, keep the COG as low as possible and trim the fenders, get flares to cover the ugly. I don't like body lifts...with MAYBE the exception of needing it to fit a bigger engine (and then only a 1" or so hahahahah)

if i was you i'd step down in tire size. 5.13's and 35's will be pushing it imo. especially if u have a manual tranny. there is a good chance u won't like the power you will have with that combo. and thats alot of $$$ to spend and still not be where u will enjoy driving it. the 4 cyl itself is only going to hurt mileage not help as you'll be straining to move. i don't think you will ever see 17 mpg. i hope thats not what your expecting... gas mileage won't be good. or atleast not that good.

EDIT: i guess i should ask what you will use the truck for? what tranny do u have what type of offroading do u do if any? is it stuff u can stay in 4low for? if so u might be plenty good on road. use 4low offroad and the combo might work fine. i still think gas mileage will be bad though.

well i got 17, because in my 4x4 club there is a 93 explorer with 8" of lift and 36" iroks with 4.88 gears and he gets 15 city, so i think a 4cyl so do a little better

I get 17mpg, with 37" MTRs, 4.56, 4.0, and a 5-speed.

You should get decent mileage with the 5.13's.

Interested in a Skyjacker 6" for a good price?

i wish i had a 91-94, if i did i would buy the lift, as long as it was in my price range, which is some where around nothing to cheap, depending on the part of course ;)

wow sounds like ya'll are getting pretty decent mileage. guess i was wrong about that. maybe my own gas mileage isn't as bad as i thought it was. i don't know for sure cuz i have no odometer. but it sure seems like its not so great. that or maybe my city is that good and my highway miles are killing me. once u get all this done make sure and post what mileage your getting. and make sure and take pictures

I was about to say. I don't know how you guys are getting less than 10 mpg with only 36s or 35s. I had 44" boggers with a extremely built 460 in a '79 F-250 I had and I was averagin about 5 mpg.

I'll be running right around 10.5" lift and 36x13.5x20 Iroks. Mine is a show truck though. Although I will be upgrading the axles so I can take it out in the mud from time to time.
