I might have a chance to buy a set of five 235-75-15 Goodyear Wrangler SilentArmor, used with 300-500 miles on them, for $200. Shiny Jeep wheels of some sort included. Not blems. No repairs. The guy bought them, changed his mind, and then upgraded to larger wheels and tires.

Anyone have input on these?

They are a very good LT tire. You won't get a smooth ride out of them but the traction advantages as an AT tire are great. They also have a Kevelar Belt in them to resist punctures. For a price like that, it is a good deal. In theat size i think they are usually $120 a piece or so

I talked to a goodyear rep about these tires before they came out last year, and he had me all but sold on them. But they were too much for me to afford. I'd jump at them for that price though.

Unfortunately, the seller said that they were not that tire, and has sold them.

that sucks, any 4 new goodyear AT's with wheels are worth $200 EASY.

Goodyear makes excellent tires, but at a price.

I should have drove to Loveland to check them out.

It was five tires on chrome 15x8 modulars to fit a YJ, TJ, XJ, etc.

I asked the owner what model they were, but he said they only said Goodyear Wrangler on the side, and nothing else. I wonder if they were MTRs...?

I think I pry missed a good deal :(

If all they said was wrangler on the side they may have been the cheaper walmart versions.

I just put Goodyear Futura tires on my 02 Explorer. They are also silent armour. They make a racket I thought the wheel bearings had failed. I should have stayed with the Michilyns (not good at spelling) the car came with.

Goodyear Futura

Goodyear Fortera (futura is a pep boys tire)

No tire will ride as smooth as a Michelin, ever. Michelin uses a silica rubber compound that other tire companies are just now experimenting with.
