the guy said that a 15x10 would rub on the a-arms and damage the tire/rim along with the suspension components, he ordered me a 15x8 with a "4.5" offset, i personally think he was wrong and read the 15x8 on 5/4.5 and he misunderstood it. the tire is 13.5 in wide, i want the look of a 15x10 but i want to know if it will cause component and tire damage... thanks guys

it'll put more stress on your wheel bearings and other suspension parts, but shouldn't hit anything. you should NOT put a 13.50 wide tire on a 8 wheel. 12.50 is max on a 8 inch. You may hit frame/sway bar, but it's hard to say.

Well i know people on this sight run 15x8 with 4.5 in offset with no problems using 12.5 inch tires (hell i have the wheels and tires sitting in my room right now waiting to get installed) so i wouldnt really worry. A 15.10 probably would rub like he said... As for the way the rim looks, i have a 33x12.5" tire mounted on one of the 15x8 i have and it looks great:

my biggest concern is not plastic stuff that i can cut, he said that it would rub my upper a-arm when flexing, im sorry guys i know i should have search but i thought he knew what i meant, plus i didnt tell him backspacing, which i should have done, i was just excited b/c i just got my bonus and i could go order them, so i already missed closing time, i will call him tomorrow, what should i tell him a 15.10 with 3.75 bs? im confusing myself now....

15x10's with 3.75''-4.5''s of backspacing. If wheels/tire is closer than 1/2'' to the upper control arm on an offroad setup then dont get it. I have about 1'' clearance of my uppers and I have like 4'' of backspacing.

What size tires are you running?

they will on the fenders and front bumper. get some 15x10s with 4.5'' of backspacing and you'll be good other than a little trimming

:D hey guys new member here actual first post anyway get what you would like not what he feels will rub! dudes right more stress on wheel bearings no doubt and other components but not like 100x faster or anything and unless you do serious offroading you should be ok by the way if it does hit the a arm you can try a spacer not exactly the best thing but gets the job done oh yeah if its a good shop im sure after they get them they'll put them on and let you sweat them first if not find a new shop just my two cents btw cant wait to become elite peace! :D

i agree, i called them 1 min after closing and their phones automatically switched to their recording, i will call in the morning. i definitely want 15x10. i am not an avid offroader, and i want it for the weekend run up to the mountains to go camping. i really like mud and sand rather then a rock crawler. so this ex is a lil more show then go. plus with the given knowlegde about this 15x10 and the precautions about making my turns a lil wider, i think i can handle this. i was originally going with a dick cepek dc-1 but i think they are a lil more show. I opted for a mt classic II with a beadlock ring. Plus this is a bonus for when my wife drives and possibly scrapes up the rim i can replace the outer ring for less. and if they do get scuffed, its no big deal, i will just keep them for more abuse. anyways thanks for the input, i do have the bl right in front of me, im very excited, and i will install it on sunday, saturday i have duty, so that will be very fun to install, i will have plenty of pics, its too bad i cant wheel with the badlands group, i did once but i high-centered like 5 times, so im missin out on some good wheelin. well thanks guys a million! i will keep you all posted.
best regards,
Chris

alright well i called this morning and changed up the order once again to facilitate a 15x10 and stay in my budget. i didnt want to fork the extra 20 per rim for the difference, so i got the extreme alloy 1069 which is very similar just 50-60 dollars less per rim. This also benefits me, because they have those in stock, and the tires will come in on monday, instead of waiting till next thursday. So the new plan is to install my pa883 on sunday, get my rims and tires mounted on mondayish, and then do my shocks that tuesdayish. Thanx guys for your time and effort, thats why i love this site!
I will take plenty of pictures along the way, and show you the product sometime tuesday night...
Best Regards,
Chris
