i've been looking at getting a SCT tuner from a guy that was using it on an expedition. I know i will need all new tunes for it, but does anyone know if they are VIN locked or not? i know the Xcalibrator 1 was, but i'm not sure about the 2. It doesn't help that the bama chips website is be'n redone right now too. Also does anyone know an average price for a custom tune? I guess I'm trying to figure out if it is cheaper to buy the tuner from this other guy and get it re tuned, of buy a new one with stuff preloaded from Bamachips. Thanks

I am pretty sure it is not "VIN" locked. They can be used on all fords from 1995 and up I think.....Anyway, if you want to email Doug the owner of Bamachips, he will answer your question or you could call him. bamachips@gmail.com
