i just bought a 10.4'' flip down monitor and one of my friends is going to help me put it in. I was wondering, i know someone has done it before, but i want to take the old light out to put the monitor in. Will the monitor connect right where the light was? I also want to take the interior out of my console and put a ps2 and a power inverter in there for the ps2. any ideas on how the best way to run the wires from the ps2 to the monitor neatly?

Yes your new monitor will screw right into place where the light was located. You will see when you remove the light. You will have to cut the headliner though. There is no turning back when that is done. As for the ps2. I am not exactly sure where you are talking about mounting it? Elaborate please. Where in the console?

my 95 explorer has a center console between the seats, and i talked to a guy at the stereo place around here about what they would do installing it and he was saying that inside the center console, the piece that holds everything will come out and you will be able to see the carpet. they were going to take that piece out and mount the ps2 to the side of the console and put the inverter on the other side and run all the wires but they wanted $650 to install it. Im pretty good at wiring stuff but i wanted to see how other people did it and what would probably be easiest.
