View Full Version : HVAC Controls Won't Change?

2000 XLT SOHC, manual HVAC controls

AC Blows COLD, but only to my feet and to the rear passengers. My fan works fine, the temp varies as it should, but I cannot get anything going to the panel vents. I hear air rushing in the dash, and some of it seems to go to my feet, and possibly even some to the defrost vents, but I am unsure of the rest. There is no problem at all for the rear vents/controls, but I'm the driver, and that's who I'm most concerned about when it comes to keeping cool...LOL.

I'm assuming that I have a vacuum issue, but I'd like to get some input on where to start looking. I only discovered the issue today, and have yet to make time to crawl under the dash to search for blend door, etc. I just thought it rather odd that I couldn't change where the air was going at all.

check the blend door, Thats what opens and closes to move the air to the proper set vents, good luck, Jon
