View Full Version : 2001 Explorer V8 Stephen 04-05-2000, 07:50 PM Inside FoMoCo sources say that the "new" Triton V8 for the Explorer will be cast in alluminum. This will serve to lessen engine weight, improve economy, and expedite cooling. One downside though. News is that the Triton engines are problematic.
