Hi,

My name is steve and I recently bought a 2000 Explorer Sport. I have not done any modifications yet but I have replaced the brakes, 4 wheel disc, new tires, and I sandblasted and repainted the running boards. The vehicle is in really nice shape. Has 75,000 miles. Options include power windows and seats, power moon roof, leather interior, and separate radio and heat controls for the rear. I have an in dash GPS. DVD player on order and I hope to add a brush guard and lights in the near future.

I swapped email with FordExplorer157 and he suggested I introduce myself and post a couple of pictures of my Explorer.

I think this is a great idea to have a Northeast club, I live in MA, and I hope to be able to particpate.

Thanks Sandy. I hope to start upgrading it in the spring. It has been about 15 years since I had a 4x4 and I am looking forward to getting it looking good.

Nice rig. Now let's see how long you'll actually keep those step rails on. ;) What exactly are your plans with it so far?

Thanks. I have not done much and probably won't until Spring, I travel a lot for work and won't have the time. I would eventually like to lift it an put on some larger tires. I would like to get it ready for some off roading next summer. I take it you recommend I remove the rails for clearance.

I do recommend it, but if I were you, I wouldn't bother until spring or until you plan some rigorous wheeling. BTW: I have a set of 9-month-old 31" BFG A/T's on my stock wheels, and a 3" body lift still in a box. When I get to upsize to 33's, if you haven't upsized yet, maybe we can work a deal.
