I just take my pics with my Pentax K1000, then get the folks at Wolfe Camera to process the film to a diskette when I have the processing done. Costs me about $5, plus I still get prints (and the resolution is much better than the digi-cams are currently offering.) I figure I can process about 100 rolls of film and still come out cheaper than buying a cheap (CHEAP) digi-cam. At the rate I shoot up film (couple of rolls a year), I figure the technology will improve 100-fold before I would worry about how much I spent on floppy disks.

Of course, I do have to finish a roll before I can have it processed - unlike the digi-cams which you can view instantly. Advantages and disadvantages both ways. Just thought I'd let you know about the option for those of us with Plain-Old-Cameras.

Get that digital camera!
http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S-pgs0TJWHt97/ProdView.asp?s=0&c=4&g=14060&I=158DSCS30&o=M&a=0

My camera list:
Digital: Sony Mavica FD83
APS: Kodak C650 Advantix (currently "hiding" from me... )
SLR: Minolta Maxxum 7000i

I really prefer the APS & SLR cameras...the digital one is great and all--I can immediately upload pictures, as well as preview them--but it won't let me adjust the shutter speed and the one Sony has selected is WAY too slow...just a gripe. The APS is great...I like the larger & panoramic prints.
