I was woundering since I have not yet got the chance to have my speedo recalibrated, how much would the speed be off. I used a tire calculator and came up with a 8mph diffrence. I have 33-12.5 r15 wild countrys on a 15-10 rim. I have to take the truck on a 2 hr drive tommorrow to the dealership that will re-cal it and will be doing some highway drving. Does the 8 mph number sound correct? I had 235-75-r15 stock on my 99

If you have stock gears and they are 3.73s you'll be going faster than it shows by 5%.

It's off by 5% the whole way through.
sooo...
If it says you're going 25 you're really going 26.5.
If it says you're going 50 you're really going 55.
If it says you're going 65 you're really going 73.25.

I have 33's and mine is off about 9 mph at 65 mph. So if Im on the freeway going 75mph the speedo shows about 66mph. I dont know if this helps at all.

With my 33s and 3.55s Im out roughly 10kph, or 6mph. So just drive a tad below and everything should be fine as far as speeding is concerned.

Sorry for the question. But with WHAT do you recalibrate the speedo?
X-Cal? Are there other way's to recalibrate the speedo?

First gens I believe are just recalibrated via the speedo gear in the tcase. As to what tooth gear you need for what setup.. I have no idea.
