Have any of you used or seen a Delta alarm? I'm debating on buying one, but in order to get it, I will have to order it from across the state. That kinda stuff makes me nervous.

Hi Skippman-

Tried looking in the rec.audio.car newsgroup for you, and it didn't return even one query string for "Delta Alarm". That would make me even more nervous. It would prolly be better if you got something more easily accessible to you. If anything ever went out on it, it would be too difficult to get the new parts, etc from out of state. Plus, if you buy the system from the installer, I think they'll be much more inclined to do a better install job. If you bring something in to them and just get your car broken into, they can always tell you should have bought THEIR system instead. I posted a question on that board about it, and if anyone replies, I'll let you know about it.

I had a Delta alarm in my old work truck (not my choice, stupid people shouldn't be put in charge of stuff like that) what a piece of crap! Absolutely the worst alarm on the market. I think suggested retail on them is $75 but $10 is too much!

Thanks guys, I've decided to go with an Alpine SEC-8063. They wanted like $300 for the unit (uninstalled). No way in hell. Well, later all.
