I have found them to work well. I believe that the side walls a a little stiff so airing down a little may not help much. AT = all terrain.

I've had no problems with both my 30x9.5 and now my 33x12.5:D ... In loose sand you'll need to air down 10-14psi. Airing down will increase the tire's contact patch and help the tire float rather than dig down...

yep the few times I've been on the beach I aired down to 15psi & it was fine.

I use them at Glamis..

Here is some video of how the different pressures worked.

I was running 32x11.50 on 15x8" rim (3.75 backspacing) with a detroit rear locker.

I loved mine in the sand on the outer banks. I didn't air them below 20psi, but they went through the deep dry stuff no problem. It was fun cruising over the dunes and watching all the pickup trucks get stuck.

On another note...that was last year, I'm about to pick up my new 07 ex with 18" wheels this week and just happen to be hitting the outer banks again this weekend. Does anyone have any experience with the new 18" stock wheels in sand? I have no idea what brand they will be (pirelli scorpions maybe? which if so, are awesome on my father's expedition in the snow). I do know they are lower profile than the 17" on my 03 explorer, I'm a little concerned if I can air them down as much since they are lower profile. Any help?

Thanks!
