I'm getting a new set of tires for my 97 AWD. I'm probably going to end up getting the BFG All-Terrains. Now I understand the max I can fit are 31x10.50x15, but is that on the stock rims? Or do I have to get wider rims to fit those? I'm probably not going to get anything that large, but I did want something a little bigger then the 235/75s. But I also don't want to have to buy new wheels too.

Thanks

Cool, thanks. So what advantage, if any, would there be in buying new wheels if you were getting the same size?

Other than looking different, nothing.

Stock rims are 7" wide, which is fine. You could put them on 8" rims if you want to get new ones.
