I just got 31 X 10.5 15 Pirelli Scorpion ATs and really do not want anyone to steal them. I am going to get wheel locks, but what is the best way to secure the spare tire?

There is no drilling and it works great. http://www.truckandtractor.com/page3.htm The page does say up to 98 but I don't think the spare tire cable and bracket changed. 98 Xplorer 08-14-2000, 08:07 PM russelb, Sorry to get off the subject but, I am looking to purchase new tires in the 31X10.50 size (BFGoodrich). I have a couple of questions. What size do the Pirelli's measure (diameter)? How do they fit on your Xplorer? Do you have any lift? I currently have no lift and was hoping 31's will fit without rubbing. Thanks in advance for the info, Alan 98 Xplorer russelb 08-21-2000, 11:59 PM I ended up going with a simple cable and lock. I bought the Master Lock that has a dust cap. Probably not the most secure solution, but economical and I know it will work. There are enough differences between the 98 and the 99 that I did not go with the locking bar that was suggested by Jim F. Thanks for the suggestion, though. |
