Ok I currently have 31" BFG and have little life left. I want to get bigger tires when I buy my new ones so I'm going to be working on a 3" body lift this weekend to try fitting in 33"'s. I'm also thinking of getting the mud terrains. I got at a really good deal in NTB (National tire & battery)for my first set. In my area these places all closed down. I had been reading here that BFG has a set price on their tires and I had seen them advertised on the net for about $130, so that is what I was planning to spend. Now its time for me to search for a new place and I have been getting estimates in the 150-180 range mounted and balanced. Now that is a big difference. Have any of you mail ordered you tires before? Or do you have any suggestions of where I can get them for a better price. How much did you all pay for your BFG's?
If any of you have any opinions on the mud terrains vs the all terrains. Please give me your input.
Thanks in advance,
Robert
Can't you go to a local tire store? All BFG AT KO tires prices are set by the manufacturer so the only thing you can haggle over is the service of the local dealers (mounting, valve, rotation, balancing, road hazard warranty, etc.).
$150 isn't so bad for a 33" if it includes all the above but if you buy it from a mail order place, don't you also have to pay shipping?
Off the subject but since you're consider MT tires, have you also considered the new Good Year Wrangler MT or the new Bridgestone Dueller MT?

I believe Sears owns NTB, so if there is a Sears nearby check with them. You might be able to get the price the same through another dealer, but after you pay shipping and such it might not be worth it anymore. Before you start cruising around looking, pick up the phone book and call around. Probably save you some time and gas.

Thanks guys, I found better prices. At Sam's club they are willing to special order them for me at $134 per tire and then $7 for mounting and balancing. That's not so bad.
Again, I'll take any suggestions on the mud terrains vs the all terrains.
Thanks,
Robert

Check "discounttiredirect.com" they have the 33x10.5x15 BFGs I want for $113ea and my shipping is $54. Local dealers said the lowest national set price for them is $119.95 after tax it is actually $2 more (not including the mount and balance - but maybe you could haggle that with the dealer if you give him his price and the sale). I bought some 17in tires and wheels through the mail for my Acura and it was a breeze.
