I have a 1991 XL.

My rig has 3" body lift and my 4" skyjacker class II system
should be coming today. I am going to run 33" tires and I want to know what the widest tire that will fit without rub.
I don't want to cut my fenders(I hate fender flares).
Also with lift I will be installing extended radious arms.
How much $$$ do shops charge for gear changes, I have 3:55's. I like the looks of the new Mickey Thompson Baja Claw---33-13.5-15. thanks for the help.
anyone that knows of a 4x4 club near tampa florida can E-mail me at FLAMILLION@AOL.COM

Get yerself 4.88 gears in both diffs, run the 35" 'Claw Radials, trim the fenders (it's a necessary evil on tires over 32", 'cause you're gonna rub), install a set of swaybar disconnects for tight/twisty 'wheeling, and have a good time!

A common problem with lifted explorers is rubbing the sway bar during full steering lock. Most people run 15x8 wheel with 3 3/4" backspacing. I have 33x12.5 and they rub the swaybar. a little. Why didn't you get the 6-inch lift?
