Hello

I just got a 1990 Ranger; it is the super cab version.

I would like to change the stock stereo and speakers.

As for the speakers I saw some $40 6.5 blaupunkt on sale for $20. Would these be an improvement over the stock speakers? Also am thinking of getting some speaker adapters so I can put 6.5 speakers in the rear instead of 6x8. Lastly do I need to get adapters for the speaker harness, where the wires plug into the speakers, or should I just cut the stock ones off and wire nut on a small length of speaker wire with connectors that come with the new speakers?

As for the stereo, I guess I will need a mounting kit for the new stereo and also the wiring harness adapters that will plug into the existing factory stereo wiring. Any tips for getting the dash bezel and stereo out?

If there is a thread that exist on this could someone please point me in the right direction, I don't see a way to search on the forum.

Thanks
