Is the visibility change noticable? Will they provide better night lighting? Local autoparts store has them for $74.95 advertised + a 20% off coupon... I may take it up if they're good, but I need your help in determining it. :) Also, what is the model needed for fog lights by PIAA? I have a 1996.

theres been tons of threads on the PIAA lights, I'd advise you to do a search on the site for PIAA, you'll come up with lots of threads. By the way, what fog lights for your explorer depends on where you want to put them and how big you want them and how expensive you want em...

I have the 9007s and like them alot. Right off the bat, you might not notice a difference but a few minutes in the car at night, and you will notice. They're obviously a whole lot more white than any other OEM highlight on the road.
I have a'97 lifted via a torsion bars, shackles and 31s. Because I'm a little higher than normal, the light is a bit diffused as it hits the ground so I might actually raise my headlights up a bit. They kick ass and really light the road up when you put on the brights!
It also sounds like you're getting a decent deal as I payed about what you will be before the cupon.
Get 'em!

I have the 9007 PIAA's in mine. THey are definately better. The high beams definately light things up. I have some driving lights that I added before buying the PIAA's. I hooked them up to come in with my high beams, since the standard bulbs needed help. With the standard 9007's, the driving lights put more light on the road. I could easily tell since the driving lights are amber (which I don't like, but that's what they are). I would hit the high beams and everything turned yellow. Now with the PIAA's, I hit the high beams and the white of the PIAA's overcomes the amber driving lights. You can still tell that they are on, but they don't overpower the real high beams any more.

I also have the 9007's. Very noticable difference at night especially when it's raining. I highly recommend them even though they are a bit pricey.
