I have single family home (Condo) in Bronx New York, which I want to sell. It badly needs renovation regarding windows replacements and fireplace. I need to calculate the estimate of the cost that will involve in the project. All suggestions and tips are welcome. Thanks

Welcome to this forum! You have to compile a list of needed repairs for us to calculate what it would cost to renovate. There are a number of factors such as name brand items (Andersen windows compared to no name brand basic windows), solid wood doors or hollow doors, sanded floors or brand new wood floors, etc.

If it is an older home-add at least 20 percent to the total figure to account for unseen needed repairs. Trust me on this-

Are you doing the work yourself or hiring a contractor? Check out the contractor before hiring him. Don't give more than 1/3 deposit before the job is started. Give another 1/3 payment after you have most of the job completed, and pay the remaining 1/3 after everything is complete. You have to be satisfied at the end.
