...anybody wanting to go on a nice scenic run this might be fun...we can meet at blackstar cyn rd at silverado cyn sunday morning say 9 a.m....the run can be done easily with 4x2 vehicles...the main divide rd. is about 26 miles long and takes approx. 5-6 hrs at an easy pace...
...we can do a picnic lunch or try hell's kitchen, but i got to warn you, burger plain and fries is like 13 bucks....a cb will be a plus so if you got it, bring it...:D

Actually, first I am moving to the Sun City area to help a family member out with some bills. When things get stabilized there, I will be moving to Poway. I am sort of the "go to" person of the family these days. :D

A bit late... but I should be able to be there presuming our scary-ass, zero visibility rim fog :eek: is gone in the morning. When it's this bad, we usually don't go out, but if I can see more than 10 feet in front of the car come 7am, I will be seeing you all at 9:00 :thumbsup:

Rit...did you guys get any snow?Nada. Snow level is near 10,000 feet and it is only dipping a hair below 40 at this elevation. Of course, it will probably be well below freezing as soon as the clouds move out :rolleyes:.

Tbars, Sean just left about five minutes ago. He's going to stop on the Rim for gas and if the fog isn't scary thick, he'll head on down. At our place there's no fog at all and the sun is shining on the Pinnacles, setting them on fire. Hopefully the Rim will be clear too.

Sorry i couldnt make this run, some ******** vandalized my ex last nite. Nothing to major, i thought they slashed the tires but only removed the valve stems. We have a bunch of punk kids in my neighborhood that like to destroy peoples things. Its time to go have a talk with the parents and educate them so they can educate thier children....

Wow that really sucks about your explorer carlover, luckily it wasnt anything too catastrophic. You did miss out though on a nice scenic (some of the time) drive. Towards the top of the mountain the fog was so thick that everything 20 feet around you in all directions just disappeared into white fog. It was just Tbars, Ritsui, Froader, Froader's dad, and me. I had a great time today, i was expecting and hoping for a little more muddy terrain but most of it was dry already. So next up is Truckhaven!

Oh, and Tbars, i guess from all the shaking my antenna came unscrewed. I can't believe it didnt blow away on the trip home, but its gonna need to be retuned now. And Froader, thanks for the windshield banner.

Looks like another nice run. I got my ex squared back away and went and bought my new project truck. 88 ford ranger that will be getting totally redone and raced in the 1450 class.

Yeah i should be there. This is a 2 or 3 year project. Total estimated build cost is around 20-30k.

Sorry to hear about your car, carlover. If they're 'neighborhood vandals' the neighborhood should get a couple of cheap wireless webcams and record them in the act. Let the police do the 'educating'.

...Just an update on the Main Divide Rd...I was at the USFS in Silverado today and it has been raining very little over the last few days...

...They said the Main Divide Rd. should open back up in the next couple of weeks but this rain may have slowed it down...The Main Divide trail is still closed from Silverado cyn to Indian Truck trail and with this rain it is reported that a section of it is unpassable...(I was in the X and they wouldn't let me go see if it was unpassable or not..:()

...The closure is due to last years fires and they still have Seismoligist up there and they are carefully watching the hydro seeding that was done...
