It's always fun to find valuable sites on the net. I am trying to keep an 86 ranger on the road forever and I had a question and I found all of you. I am sure you can help.
I'm not sure if I am suppose to ask here, but here goes.

Will a 1984 Ranger 4 cyl fit into a 1986 Ranger? Are there any differences. Thanks in advance for your response and I look forward to participating in this forum.

I don't think the 2.3L ever went through any changes, other than to the injection system. But I am 99% certain you will be good with the newer 2.3

Welcome to this forum! Do you have 8 spark plugs on a 4 cylinder, or was that only on the newer models?

Yes BB, that was newer, like 91 or so.
