Anybody ever find any good aftermarket fogs that would fit (without major modification) in the air dam on 95-98 Explorers (rectangular). Looking for some nice fogs with a good wide beam pattern. Would prefer some type of lens diffuser (like the ol Hella 550s) that deflects light from oncoming traffic so I can use them in the city. Would like to maintain as much of a stock look as I can, so rectangular or ellipsoid is preferred.

Thanks!

Holter - I posted this to a previous thread, hopefully this will help you out... PIAA is the only company I know of that designs lights to fit in many stock locations...
If you have a 95-97 Explorer, you can fit the PIAA 1500 or 1400 without any bracketry, in the air dam. You can also buy a bracket (PIAA part #30240). For vehicles that are NOT limited, with this bracket you can fit 940, 960, 910 and 959 lights. If it is limited you can fit 940's and 960's. You have to have the factory fog lights though for these brackets to work, as they use the existing holes in the airdam. For more info on the seperate bulbs you can go to http://www.piaa.com and get more details on the lights!

matt,

are you telling us that the PIAA 1500 will fit into the factory fog light bracketry? that would be great!!!

my driver's side fog lamp just blew out yesterday. I was gonna replace the bulb, but if those 1500s are a perfect fit for my 1996 Limited, I'll buy those.

please let me know.

thank you,

Andrew

you may want to verify the measurements just to make sure, but they are nearly exactly the same size, and PIAA tells me they'll fit, so they should fit.

thanks matt.

BTW, do you know where the cheapest place to buy them is?

thanks,

Andrew

beats me... theres probably 100 places online that sell them. GO to altavista.com adn do a searc for PIAA 1500 or PIAA 1500XT, you'll probably come up with a ton of responses.
