...what i would like to do is photoshop the truck with the new color, leave the rear fender chrome piece and black trim above it...i would like a flat black or herculine color from the top of that black trim straight across and when you get to the front fender, go around only on the 2" flat face please......any other ideas would be great, thanks...;)

For the rockers, I just scuffed, taped it off and did it in my driveway with the spray cans. Well, that's what I did for all of my black on mine.

Oh I thought you were asking about getting the paint to the truck.

The EF.com and splash can all be vinyl stickers.

I wouldn't call it really a spray booth:rolleyes: all it was, was a big canopy with clear plastic sides taped on:rolleyes: but it worked!:p:

It's really pretty easy, you could do it a weekend easy;)

Rustolum make a nice Smoke Grey color or a Charcoal Grey.:thumbsup:

What does it line up with, the bottom of the black bumper pieces? Looks like there are too many lines to me that way.

...you are correct and i can raise it later if i wan't...there is a factory crease from one end to the other so i thought i would try it..i think it will look alright and it lets the grey around the front fender have that prerunner C shape...
...if i ditch the bumpers and the chrome trim in the rear it would look better, but thats a ways away...

...actually guys, i need a vote on the black stripe...my thought's are to put some lettering just above where i painted it and below the factory dent detail ...Like Project X in bold, slant, black letters just on the front door, shifted right, and maybe shifted left on the front door, still slanted forward though...can someone chop that in for me so we can see it???

Look at a font called impact. then have colin tilt the top a few degrees with illustrator. it's what we used for our custom paint on our helicopter logo. looked sick! photobucket is down right now, i'll get a pic up asap....

Paint it all grey, no black, and then put a bunch of rivets on the body panels, like a military aircraft. Then do 'explorerforum.com' or 'serious explorations' in a military font in black like the 3rd pic that GPNyce posted. Just a thought :)

...the project X is fine in the first pic...the ef4x4 logo, (sticker with an 4x4 X on it) on the rear quarter panel, and the last thought, a black goodyear on the front fender, like the racers do...:D

Seriously, ted, i agree with colin about the size of the bottom stripe. it looks much cleaner when it's flush with the top of the cladding, and goes across the rear corners too.

oh, and you should paint all the pillars the same color black as the window tint. to create the wraparound window look.
