By the way Frisckey1 your Explorer does look nice. Maybe it is just the picture that makes it look more redish.
Had to give you a hard time about the purple color. There aren't many of us out there.

I was going to show Frisckey1 what Purple really was, but can't get my picture to come in. Can you help me out. I did the [img] thing, but nothing comes up.

Jeez...I am gonna have to go paint my Xplorer Electric Pink just to get away from you purple people...I thought I was one in a million! :) Perry, yes, your truck is purple...but it doesn't qualify as a barney mobile...wrong shade of puprle! :-) lol

I wouldn't have let Perry paint the exploder barney purple!!

Not the only one! My '97 is the same color. Its official name is 'Deep Iris'. I was split between that and the 'Willow Green'.

Hey! Love that color! Looks just like mine, cept you have all your windows tinted & matching looks like. And a lift. Can't wait for my lift!!! :) :) Like your rims better than mine too!

Yeah, the color was only offered from '95 to '97 Sports only. I bought mine new in '97 with the Premium Sport Package which added the dark windows (back 3 only), 16" Chrome steel wheels, and the running bars and fender moldings. I had the flip windows tinted to match the back and the doors done as dark as I could legally go here in AZ. The 1" lift was just to give me a little more space between the tires and wheel wells since the larger tires filled them up more than the standard 255 70R16 tires did. I didn't need it for clearance. Originally I went as high as I could with the torsion bars and had the shackels on their highest setting, but whenever I made a sharp turn on pavement, it made some awful sounds. I compromised by backing it down to 1/2 as much. I am now considering 4:56 gears but I'm not sure yet.

Mine has the tinted glass in the 2 rear pass. & the back window, but its no where near as dark as yours. You'dve thought with power stuff whoever bought mine first would have order the stupid step rails...but nope..I am bare :( So when I get my lift I have to invest in step bars too, so when I carpool, the girls don't rip their skirts hopping in! [lol :) done it more than once myself w/out the lift] Anyway...looks good!
