hi guys i just jumped into a 92 ranger 4.0l 5 speed swap into a 91 2.9l 5 speed truck.one of the wires i'm tracing out goes to this:

do any of you guys know what it is?its got a plug in the end with 4 pins inside.

Our '92 has a connector that looks like that. On our '92 it isn't connected. It has a cover thing on it, and thats it..

On another vehicle we have that, it was used to attach fog lights. This could be a DRL attachment also... not sure.

the thing i don't get is the plug has 4 pins and might be some kind of resistor,and there are i think 7 wires going to it.the wire i'm tracing is a different color between 91 and 92,and i think it will be fine to leave the circuit alone.but i want to make sure i don't need to swap the little plug or something between 2.9l and 4.0l

It's right up front by the lighting, correct? Do you have any additional lighting there? Or capacity for additional lights?

o.k. so i'm told on another site that its a daytime running light connector that the US trucks don't have.:thumbsup:
