Can you buys these somewhere? mattadams 10-10-2000, 12:00 PM I used to attend a lot of local auctions here in the Denver area... they would auction off confiscated items, items that were stolen but never reported, as well as bankruptcy items and items that the government was basically tossing out. One time I saw a whole box of those lights your talking about, probably thirty of em in there, who knows if they worked or not, but I think it went for like $20. STUPID ME didn't bid on em, ahh well, I didn't have a car at the time. Seriously though, eBay might be a good bet... whenever i"m looking for something, its almost always on eBay ;). kubben 10-10-2000, 12:07 PM I've never really been up close to a Cop car, or long enough to look at it. Exactly how do those mount? I think the shaft that moves the light is IN the cab. How is this done? Alec 10-10-2000, 12:07 PM You mean those dash strobes? You can find them at a lot of places. Galls.com or GTDist.com for a start. They have a lot of other stuff, too. I might get one of those spotlights that goes in the Apillar. n2knee 10-10-2000, 12:08 PM Are you talking about the flashing lights (aka strobe lights) mounted on the bottom (sometimes top) windshield of their patrol cars? I think it is illegal to have it in a private passenger car/truck. It looks cool though. kubben 10-10-2000, 12:19 PM Illegal? Naa people can buy old cop cars and I see them with them. The lights I am talking about are the lights that mount right at the base of the windshield and you can control thru a shaft that runs into the cab. It is a spotlight. Order one of there catalogs and have them send it to you. It is free of charge and they rush it. This catalog has everything in the world. It even has the push bars that you see on the police vehicles for the explorer (heavy duty). This is where I have ordered all my police lighting. Alec 10-10-2000, 04:52 PM JCWhitney also has the spots. Same brand, and they're cheaper. EB Bauer 10-10-2000, 05:08 PM You can buy them. YOu name top light bars.....the ones in the windshield....what ever you want you can get. Here is the link! http://www.galls.com |
