So I have done quite a few searches and read some info more specifically what 410Fortune has had to say...

Mine never sqeaks when starting but it idles somewhat rough and when I stab the accelerator it almost stalls out but then catches back up.

Id read on the forum somewhere that the alternator can somehow toast the sensor?

Im lost and Im not taking this thing to ford to get raped on it

Its a 97 FOrd Explorer with the 5.0 liter in it...any help?

I don't think you'll be able to clean it. Wow-I'm amazed it was running.

It looks like the aluminum flag in the sych drive unit melted-weird--

Yeah-
You will need the proper tool for alignment also-

the tool is about 30 bux
What you need is the CMP synch drive unit-

nope, the only topic that had it the link expired, no more link to tool or part. This continues to grow more stressful, haha
