Good looking Ride!!! I like the pictures, I'm a big fan of suspension design, and seeing suspension articulation like that gets me going.

Hey Doug,
Good pictures. Now all you need is a ARB locker in the back and you could really go places!

thanks, y'all. i have had whitey since january, and we passed 100k miles back in september. i love this truck almost as much as my mustang. btw, ray how much would the arb help, seeing as it is just a two wheel drive?

Doug,
You gotta understand that with a open diff you are really powering one wheel, not 2. We 4wd's(with open diffs) are actually 2 wheel drives, one in the front, and one in the back. If you put a locker in the back, then you would be using both wheels for power, and that would give you alot more tracsion. Many Baja Runners are 2wd but you can bet that they are locked in the rear. It will make a very big differance. You might not have gotten stuck in that picture if you had both wheels powering you through that field.

hey, y'all, i did my torsion twist and warrior 153's this weekend. i think it looks awesome! i got a tatol of 1.5" out of them, but it makes a huge difference in the look and i like the ride even better now that it is stiffer. will post some new pics as soon as i have them back.

I think it looks a lot dirtier :-)

No really, it looks great -- I love my shackles and Twist and think that mod has been my favorite ...

hey, guys...i recently removed my "soccer mom" running boards, and replaced them with the factory rocker covers from a '99. made it look WAAAYYY taller! i also put a pair of black piaa 520 fogs in the brush guard and some superwhite headlight bulbs in. the results look pretty tough. i will post pics soon.

okay, so now i've taken the running boards off and replaced them with a pair of rocker covers from a '99 model. looks alot bigger. also, i've upgraded my lighting with a pair of piaa 520 foglights and piaa superwhite headlights. these are some crappy pics shot with a disposable camera, but you get the gist of what's been done. next up, this weekend is the borla catback! woohoo!

here's a side view of the new rocker covers:

Dude,

It looks great! Where did you find the rocker panels to replace the running boards and how much do they cost? I want to do the same thing on my 98 Eddie Bauer. As far as mods go, all I have to do yet on mine is install the winch this weekend and I'll be pretty much done for now. I'll post pics on mine in the before and after forum this Sunday. Once again, your truck looks great! :-)

thanks, brian. i got the rockers from ebay, i just kinda lucked into them. i bought them for 35 bucks with shipping. my wife wanted running boards and i hated mine so i had the boards painted to match her truck and put them on yesterday. if you're interested, i still have her rocker panels here and i have posted them in the for sale trade and wanted forum for 20 bucks plus shipping. http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=24409 these are from a '97, but they will fit your truck. you will just need to pick up the mounting hardware from your ford dealer. i think i paid about 15 bucks for the hardware. by the way they are maroon.
here is the color. http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1274301&a=9435869&p=41551456

again, thanks for your compliments!
