View Full Version : My Pics. Tekeman 10-18-2000, 10:18 PM ok I got some before and after and a scanner, but i'm a neophyte at getting them on the site. Can anyone give some instructions? GJarrett 10-18-2000, 10:45 PM Tekeman, you scan them and then open up a free account at photopoint.com. Then you upload the pictures to your photopoint album. When you post a thread here, you link it to the photo's address and surround the link with the img command, like this (do not use spaces, I did that so you can see what I typed): [ img ]http://myphotoetc.com/mytruck.jpg[ / img ] Hope that helped. drmoore71 10-19-2000, 12:22 AM hey, teke, i just had one helluva time doing just what you are, last night. believe me, once you are able to post them, you'll realize just how easy it is. i finally got it after several hours, and much needed assistance by ray. Tekeman 10-21-2000, 05:26 PM I just opened my photo acct. and scanned the photos to my computer memory. I'm having trouble getting A to B. Now what? Tekeman 10-22-2000, 04:42 PM I guess I don't know how to get them copied to photopoint. I highlite the picture but then do I upload, download,transfer,setup,e-mail? leebo 10-22-2000, 04:46 PM once your in photopoint click on the part that says "upload photos" You'll then select the photos from your computer to upload to the net. Once they're on the net you can open the file up and towards the bottom there will be a link to display the photo. Copy that and paste it here with the [img][/img} in front and in the rear. Tekeman 10-22-2000, 05:31 PM Let's take this one step at a time. I know that my photo is saved to my scanner desktop. But not in my photopoint account. How do i move it? I'm going to try the e-mail attachment route. leebo 10-22-2000, 05:40 PM if you know where it is on your computer go ahead and email it to me and I'll go ahead and post some for you. I'll also go ahead and upload them to your photopoint account if you wish. I will need your code though. If you don't wish to do it that way heres what you need to do. Log onto photopoint....once you're logged on click on the link that says "upload photos" I use the easy upload. You just find the file on your computer and upload it. The photo is now on the net. Just open it and copy the link. Paste it here and you're off. [Edited by leebo on 10-22-2000 at 02:45 PM] GJarrett 10-23-2000, 10:51 AM Tekeman, did you notice that I PM'd you earlier? Leebo is right; you should be able to use the Easy Upload from Photopoint, browse your computer for the file, and Photopoint will upload it right onto their site. Tekeman 10-23-2000, 11:37 PM Holy crap, I finally got it. My photos are loaded into an album. Is there an easy way to copy the URL to the message board? leebo 10-23-2000, 11:58 PM go into the album where you can see the photo itself...click on the photo you want to show here...let that page load....on the bottom of the page there is a line that reads..."Would you like to include this photo in your online auction? Use this URL:" ....copy that url and post it here with the [img][/img} around it Tekeman 10-24-2000, 12:00 AM http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1282190&a=9499068&p=31404683 [Edited by Ray Lobato on 10-24-2000 at 06:30 PM] Tekeman 10-24-2000, 12:05 AM http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1282190&a=9499068&p=31404703 [Edited by Ray Lobato on 10-24-2000 at 06:28 PM] leebo 10-24-2000, 12:05 AM add a / in front of the [img} and you're set it should look like this [/img} Tekeman 10-24-2000, 12:10 AM http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1282190&a=9499068&p=31404703 Tekeman 10-24-2000, 12:14 AM http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1282190&a=9499068&p=31404692 Some before pics. on the stock side Tekeman 10-24-2000, 12:16 AM Now how about creating a link, so all my pics don't take up lots of space. leebo 10-24-2000, 07:03 PM just go to the page with the album where all your photos are stored and copy the adress. Then just paste that here and you're off. Add the in front and rear and your done. secret agent 10-24-2000, 08:08 PM OK Guys, you're killing me. Cant wait to see the photos of the explorer with the body lift and 33x12.50's... wanted to go just a little wider that the 285/75r16's that Gerald and Sinjin are using... Please let me know how to get from here to there. Thanks Mark 97 Explorer Sport, but now missing my 91 Navajo with 5.5 in lift and lockers... Tekeman 10-24-2000, 09:18 PM http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1282190&a=9499068&p=3140511 Tekeman 10-24-2000, 09:24 PM Why am I not able to copy from photopoint tonight. What am I forgetting from yesterday? I click on the URL but copy isn't highlighted when I click on edit. Alec 10-24-2000, 09:46 PM Just highlight the link text from photopoint and press ctrl-c for windows or apple-c for mac to copy the text. Then, press ctrl- or apple-v to paste in the thread. leebo 10-24-2000, 10:19 PM if you moved the photo from the "incoming" album to a different album the url changes too. That's what happened to me several times. That doesn't look like what happened but it's just a thought. Don't copy the address on the top of your screen....make sure you use the url listed under the photo. Also make sure that the url is highlighted when you to copy. Tekeman 10-25-2000, 09:01 AM http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1282190&a=9499068&p=31405111 The lift and tires completed Tekeman 10-25-2000, 09:18 AM Thanks Alec. The control button worked. I don't know why the drop down didn't. I guess my next step is to create a webpage rather than a link. I want that little highlighted "icon" in my sig. I'm a computer neophyte. Is it too detailed of a process to e-mail or message from someone? Help is always welcomed!! leebo 10-25-2000, 07:09 PM do like most people do on this site....go ahead and go to the "explorer registry" forum and post your photos there. You can then post you mods on this site and link to the page on your sig. BTW....nice looking truck. Tekeman 10-27-2000, 10:59 PM So what do you guys think of my work in progress? jgriffin 10-28-2000, 12:00 AM Hey Tekeman, do you have any rubbing with the 33's and how much trouble did you have with the body lift? Tekeman 10-28-2000, 01:08 PM If I would have kept the factory running boards they would get ripped off even the cladding I've got now needed snipped inside the fenderwell.(not noticeable) Now I'm only doing street driving. It wouldn't surprise me it rubs some while negotiating some off road obsticles. The body lift was easy. I had someone else do it. A couple of knowledge "motorheads" that have done lots of lifts and engine/racing/custom type stuff slapped it on in 4 hours. They cut and dremmelled and welded w/o any complaining and on the first try with everything. Even a kit that is made for a vehicle may not go smoothly. Thank you for the pic's I was beginning to cry when I first bought my 97 finding out that there was no lift kit for the 97's. Thank you for showing me what I can do. I have no Idea how to do a body lift so I have to begin learning. It doesnt seem too difficult I think that I have most of the tools. How complicated is it? Thanks to all and hope to have you all to guide me in the comming months as I begin to go up. There is a local 4x4 shop here but I really don't want to pay someone when I can do it myself. Where is the fun in that Will 97 XLT 4.0 SOHC 4X4 SOUTH SUBURBAN-CHICAGO jeffseal 11-27-2000, 12:42 AM can you give me details on the body lift did you do it yourself, how was the steering shaft bumpers, what kit did you use, thanks SEAL jeffseal@aol.com PUR PONY 12-19-2000, 08:47 PM do you think I owuld have a problem fitting 32x11.5's under my truck???? 96 limited V-8 pro-comp add-a-leaf warrior shackles Torsion twist 3" body lift I am also going to install eddie bauer fender flares w/ running boards- think the 32's will clear or not?
