View Full Version : Media Storage

I have looked everywhere for media storage and haven't found anything to fit our needs. :banghead: We have a built-in entertainment unit. The area for the TV is square (before TVs were rectangular). Our new TV looks ridiculous in it. We have been looking for a media (CD, DVD) storage drawer(s) to lift the TV and center it in the opening. We want wood, which we will stain ourselves.

Dimensions of opening: 46 1/2" w x 24" d x 46 1/2" h. TV is 30 1/2" h.

We need the unit no more than 46"w x 23"d x 8"h.

Is anyone interested in building one for us? :help: :D

...amongst many other things, i do wear a cabinet makers hat...:D

...pics please...and on the 8" height, can it be taller??? the reason i ask is, if you wanted dvd rollout trays versus storage...then again, you might like the storage area as the media tends to change and so does your uses for the storage...;)

...btw, do you know what kind of wood???

Haven't forgotten about this project, but life has given me lemons right now and I'm trying to figure out what to do with them. Too many people already made lemonade. :D

Everything seems to be 90% under control with medication, but it's only temporary. I need to go to Mayo Clinic so multiple doctors can work together to determine the best way to take care of the problems. I feel much better and have been able to start doing things again. Yea!

It's about 3 hrs. to Yuma. However, if you were going to come visit us it would probably be longer and you would take a different route.

...oh my goodness, that doesn't sound fun at all..take it easy and do as the doc say's...or do what you feel is best...

...i may be in yuma toward the end of next month doing a kitchen and if i am, i'll try and swing down to help with your project...;)

Yeah, sorry I missed the weekend. I hadn't had an attack for 3 weeks! That really sucks!!! I do like your idea about the lemons, except I can't really drink Vodka so I guess I'd have to share. :D
