Installing the Kenwood unit in my sig was a royal PITA! The car itself is straightforward, actually, pretty easy to work on. The cavity behind teh factory radio proved to be a difficult matter. With the extreme amounts of wiring/cabling behind the unit, there's nowhere for it to go. It is only going to get worse when I actually run my patch cables/speaker wires/remote. Stupid Ford.
Oh well, after cursing and bleeding, the thing is in, and it works great, even running the factory stuff.

I had no problems, just have to organize the stuff back there. I have wiring for 2 led lights, for a gauge and the fuses for the gauge lighting, sub stuff, wiring to hook my mp3 player into the deck all back there with no problem. Just gotta organize the wires back there my man.

I had very little difficulty installing the 6019 in my explorer. Granted there isn't a ton of room behind the deck but I was able to pull most of the excess wiring down behind my message center instead of packing it all up behind the radio. frees up space for the RCA cables and new harnesses.
It didn't even get much more difficult when I added the bluetooth module and the NAV module to it. there was enough space to wire it all up in under an 2 hours

How did you manage to get your hands in there?! I wonder if the cavity has changed in the newer generation vehicles?

On my '04, getting all of the wires managed and getting the head unit back in is a huge challenge. I have a W205 with pretty much every add-on you can think of plugged into it. Actually, I run an optical cable out to my processor so I don't even have a bunch of RCAs going out from the back of the head unit to the amps, but I do have RCAs plugged into the aux inputs and outputs. It's really a pita, and "forcing" it in can result in something getting unplugged or even broken. :(
