Learned something interesting today! Just got off the phone with Belltech/KW and thet said not to lower the 07/08 Sport Trac. The had a Coilover kit in the works but nixed the project because after lowering the truck more than an inch or so drive shafts and axles were sheering off! Just an FYI. If anyone know anything other wise let me know! :(

That's not true at all. I have more hp than all 2nd gen STs that I personally know of, and mine's lowered 1.25". The reason nobody will lower it more is a combination of lack of demand and lack of shocks. There aren't yet any OEM replacement shocks, much less lowered height shocks. Within the next month, I'll have the kit available for purchase. I've been running it for 2 months, I have around 400 hp, and I'm not a nice driver.

Are you talking about the same year truck as the 07/08 ANDYINFLORIDA

Loweing it 1.25" is ok. I'm talking 3". Also don't you have a solid rear axle...07/08s run an independent setup!

The problem is like what was previously said, there are no shocks available. Still without doing major modification 1.25" is the about the max you'll be able to lower a Gen2 Sport Trac.

Yes.

Also I think that since the rear halfshafts go through a hole in the framerail, you're limited in how much you can lower or lift a Gen 2 Trac.

Can anyone find a lowering kit that works for the second gen sport trac? I've come up empty.

As a matter of fact I can. Though I dont' expect anyone here to be spending this amount of money to get their vehicle lowered. Atleast you know the kits are in the works.
Hope this helps.
