If any of the photoshop gods out there could take that first picture here and make my front and rear bumpers black I would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks for looking!
Shortkid 04-26-2008, 12:49 AM Forgot to add I bought some KC Fog Lights to upgrade the stock fogs to go in the front bumper. Also upgraded my headlight bulbs to Silverstar Ultras. I can say I definately can see a whole lot better now!
Paraphoe 04-26-2008, 02:51 AM Short, looks beautiful. Nice work man. You NEED to paint that gray trim black. It's super easy. Check my registry out - mine used to be gray and I sprayed em. Makes a huge difference. I can make the photoshop for you tomorrow or something if no one else jumps on it, but I gotta get to bed for now.

Thanks Paraphoe! I know that trim has to go black but haven't had the time to mess around and get it the bumpers off my car to get that chrome crap off. The torch method worked really well to get the chrome off the front grill so will try it when I get there. Should get to painting it within the next week or so. If ya can, do get that photoshop for me and thanks in advance!
Paraphoe 04-26-2008, 01:43 PM Here ya go.

Uafan 04-28-2008, 02:18 PM Looks real good. I like it with the black bumper better, completes the theme.
FordBoy350TD 04-28-2008, 02:59 PM yeh dude looks sick
Shortkid 04-28-2008, 09:03 PM Thanks guys. Did the back bumper too! Broke one of the license plate light holder things so gotta get some super glue for it but other than that looks good. Pictures tomorrow. :)

I know man, it had to go. Thanks for the compliments. :)
91exploreron37 05-12-2008, 12:44 AM Any more plans for it or is this the stopping point
Shortkid 05-19-2008, 11:43 PM Any more plans for it or is this the stopping point
I really believe this is the stopping point. Nearing 165k miles need to start saving for down payment on another ride now. I love the explorer but :thumbdwn: on the gas.. I can't afford to regear and then run bigger tires..
Any cheap mods you could think of?
91exploreron37 05-20-2008, 12:01 AM Maybe tint the taillights. But I hear ya on the gas prices its ridiculous!
trj360 05-20-2008, 12:34 AM Great looking truck, black explorers are the best. I'd say find a way to put some tow hooks on there front and rear, it's an easy thing to forget about but hard to ignore when you're up to the frame in mud.
Blazepet7 05-20-2008, 01:11 AM Looks great what paint did you use, dupli color bumper paint, did it go on easy ?
Lankhimself 05-20-2008, 10:49 AM Looks great...I'm also wonder what paint you used on the bumpers. Did you use adhesion promoter on the chrome? Either way, nice job.
Shortkid 06-18-2008, 02:46 PM I was very worried about the paint and the whole chrome thing. For the chrome grille I took it off did the whole torch method and got all the chrome off. I used the High Heat Black Paint at Autozone for it. Then for the bumpers I used the same High Heat Paint and just painted right over after power sanding a little to make some scratches. Seems to be holding up pretty good.
Sams01XplrSprt 06-19-2008, 02:12 AM looks good keep up the good work
