Hi all,
Looking at Cragar Soft 8's (397's) or Unique 297's. From what I can tell, they are essentially the same wheel. I am going to go with a 15x8 with 31x10.5.
The problem I keep having is the backspacing. Both those wheels only come down to a 4" BS or -12mm offset, and I am worried that's going to be to far in, and will rub on inner fender in the back, and sway arm or UCA in the front.
Anybody running this setup with success?

Thanks alot!

First, welcome to EF...:wavey:
Second, either one will work. You may experience some slight rubbing on the sway bar, but it will be minimal. If you use the search function, you'll find about a hundred trucks with that same wheel/tire combo.

Thanks alot Boomer. Of course I've been searching for an answer for a few hours (lurking) using the search feature, but in my haste I was searching for "backspacing", "offset", and so-on, and just getting more confused. It never even occurred to me to simply search for "soft 8"...When I did, I got a load of information, incluing this post http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=194544
Thanks for your help, it's time to break out the credit card!

Hate to bother you..but can I get a side shot to see how much the tires are sticking out? You have the 4" BS on those, right?
