What is up with the OE BFG tires that came on the Explorers? The ones on my parents 2003 are pretty rotted, and cracking, the ones on my 2005 are doing the same thing, but not as bad. I remember last spring when we were looking at Explorers there were alot of them that seemed to be in pretty bad shape.
I am going to be looking for tires soon, any suggestions?

i am using goodyear wrangler tre on my explorer and i have had them for 4 years and still have 60 percent tread on them. i have the AT wrangler and i get good traction in snow mud and on rocks mind you i am stock and tires are 235 75r 15. so i dont do anything thats going to rip the bumper off. but on snow and ice there good.

I'll put in a vote for Michelin LTX M/S.

Went from Wrangler RT/S to these.
