I'm sure you know state law likely prohibits the blackouts, but I'm sure plenty do it.
The scrolling idea is a cool one. It is probably fairly simple if you have the electronics knowledge.
Essex4x4 06-05-2008, 01:06 AM Looks like he wired sets of about 10 leds in a row vertically. Then he somehow has linked them to come on one after another like christmas lights. Hey if you do this i want to see it so post some pictures, and if possible do a video.
redneck21 06-06-2008, 02:10 AM Im not going to tint the outside im going to paint the inside to make them kinda like the one in the link below.

As far as making them i was thinking of going to auto zone and see if they have some that do that. I seen some that went back and forth but i want it to go one way. Then use the lil controller box to power a new LED bored i make, i Got 2 ideas what one do yall think looks better like this one

or with just the top part all the way a cross and the bottom would just be a parking

Essex4x4 06-08-2008, 02:17 AM Looking forward to the HOW-TO pictures, and final results.
redneck21 06-08-2008, 02:22 AM YA idk i still need to go to autozone and check out what they have.
Essex4x4 06-08-2008, 02:36 AM Radio shack should have the leds your looking for, or at least a store similar to it. I doubt very much that an automotive store will sell leds separately so you can make the triagular shapes you want.
redneck21 06-08-2008, 12:22 PM I was going to autozone or walmart to see if they have the trailer light like that already like this one i seen on ebay no way am i going to pay 80 bucks for them tho. If i have to build to all i will be going to radio shack to get the leds and the bored will they have a controller box to hook the leds to?
Essex4x4 06-08-2008, 10:53 PM i am not sure, have you tried looking at their website?

i work at an autozone and we do carry electronic flashers to fix fast blinking lights when u swap out standard incandescent bulbs for led bulbs... there may be a way to make it light them up slowly like they are in that first picture so that could possibly work... good luck:thumbsup:
redneck21 06-08-2008, 11:17 PM Thanks that's one thing i was thinking i would get screwed at i thought i would have to make a jumper wire or something. Any more tips form anyone that know about LED would help a lot b/c im still new at this.

The light bulb reflects off those surfaces to direct the beam pattern. If you paint those black your headlights will be worthless. If it looks that cool cough up the cash and have it done correctly.

Wearing Sunglasses too.
Looking good but sure don't feel right
Anything to be cool"
