ok so im gona get some hids this weekend but what k should i get i heard that any thing above 8k is imposabel to see when it rains but then i was talking to a friend who has 8k and he said that he cant even see when it rains so what k should i get??? does 6k still have a blu tint to it?

4300-6000k. 4300k is what stock hids are. i run 6000k. has a blue tint to it but light on the ground is white. really have no problems in the rain or fog with these. remember the higher u go up in kelvin numbers the less light output you have.

6000K is the limit for a real performance upgrade, 8000K will light better than halogen but in the rain will be lost to.
I had almost every color you can get, i have just miss the green HID's and the best are 4300K a real upgrade in light, 5000K is close to 4300K but looks better, 6000K is the limit between looking good an performance, 8000K improve visibility but you can in the rain, more than 8000K is useless unless your going to car shows.

I believe that they mean those which produce more light then the stock bulbs... maybe??

for best clear usable light go 4300K
I use them, and work fine here in rane/shine/show & offroad
