I was wondering if anyone could give me some imput on flowmaster exhaust with a 4.0. I have one ordered and was wondering if anyone has been pleased with theirs.

I love my flowmaster, I put it on with no hassle fit perfectly, and love the sound, idle is great and it is not bothering at highway speeds!!!

[I had the cat back on my 94, sounded good, only problem that I had was the pipes rattled against the shock. I have since replaced the muffler that it came with with a 2 chamber sounds even better. Its well worth the money for the cat back kit

Lets just say that I have the same Flowmaster muffler on all three of my trucks and love them. I have been using Flows for about six years now along w/ many of my friends. Just my two cents.

does the performance gains differ from the 40 series to the 50? Or is the most horse power gained from teh tuned Force II exhaust

Save money, buy a cherry bomb and weld it on ...

Sounds great, better exhaust flow, better mileage -- perfect with the 4.0.

just my $0.02 (since that's all I was willing to spend on an exhaust system).

Does anyone know the difference in all the different types of Flowmaster mufflers? Which is louder, 40, 50, 2 chamber, 3 chamber, single chamber, and which ones are the same? Also is DeltaFlow better or not? What about the diameter pipes to use(2.25 or 2.5)and whether or not to go with a single out or dual out? What about highflow cats, helps or hurts? Thanks just wondered if anyone had all the knowledge to bring together what i've read off of Flowmaster's website and the muffler shop down the road.

i have the 40 flowmaster and i love it. The 40 is alittle louder the the 50, but thats what i like about it. If you run a single pipe then you can use 2.5 pipe, but if you want duels you need to run 2.25. If you are getting it for performance and gas then you really need to get a single out.(it sounds deeper too)If you just want the look then go with the duel out, because its too much air flow for the 4.0.(It does look really good). I hope this helps.

I have a 40 series w/ dual 2.25" pipes. Sounds great, and much more power at high RPM's. Single 2.5" pipe might give better torque (lower RPM's), but doesn't give the look.

Well, I got my flowmaster on today. I must say I am so far pleased with it, although my girlfreind may not, but what she thinks doesn't matter. The chrome tip on the end of the pipe is a nice addition too. All in all i am very pleased with my investment for the price.

In the Cherry Boomb system [/B]

All I can tell you is it is a substantial difference and I can tell when I put the pedal down. My brother and friends cannot believe that all I have done is the K7N, tornadoe and the cherry bomb ... But I did the cherry bomb first and it was a major improvement ...

The muffler guy says it sound just like the Flowmaster (he could not believe it himself) and I can say my 4.0 ohv is running strong -- but I don't have dyno results or anything like that ... sorry
