Has anyone tried to put a 351 in their explorer? If so give me some info on the difficulty of this project, cause im tired of being passed by pathfinders and other jap 250 hp machines.

Tony, Yes it has been done. But the level of difficulty and expense goes up dramitcally. The 351's and 4.6's are phsically bigger from the heads up so it's a tight squeeze between the frame. 4X4 makes it even tighter for clearance under the oilpan.

I highly recomend the 302 swap. You should be able to gain plenty of power from a stroked 302. Not to mention Power adders that are available too.
