I'm liking it, hope it keeps dropping. corkey 10-19-2008, 06:14 PM i guess we can't count on it,, but i hope too ,, Nedwreck 10-19-2008, 08:20 PM What is it, 3.8L per US gallon? (yea metric really is better.... yea the US still hates it. heh) I observed 2.73 US for a gallon a little while ago... FYI. It peaked around 4.00 before it started falling. Cozmik 10-19-2008, 08:24 PM The upsetting thing is, last time oil was US $71 a barrel gas was more like $0.75 a litre or less. So much for gas being tied directly to crude costs EH? (jokes with the EH...I had to. ) Nedwreck 10-19-2008, 08:38 PM naw.. it ain't no joke. they's crude to us diddlin' with tha prices lik that. they's money grubbers, EH? (sorry, had to play the dialect game too. heh) Cozmik 10-19-2008, 08:51 PM LOL!!! I miss y'all down south of the 49th parallel. I used to spend more time in the good ol' US of A than here in the great white north. Screw big oil, bunch of theiving money grubbing bastards!! BrooklynBay 10-19-2008, 11:14 PM Gas here is around $3.20 a gallon. Maybe some places might be a little less, but it's still over $3 a gallon so far. bisjoe 10-20-2008, 07:21 AM Gas here is around $3.20 a gallon. Maybe some places might be a little less, but it's still over $3 a gallon so far. Same here, $3.16 was the cheapest I saw yesterday. sjr033 10-20-2008, 09:07 AM $2.76 a gallon here. DB_1 10-20-2008, 10:19 AM OPEC is meeting today to discuss cutting oil production so they can drive up oil prices again...what a racket, Eh? (sorry, just had to:D) bisjoe 10-20-2008, 05:44 PM The reason it's less now is that we all cut back because it was so high and it was hurting their profits. By lowering the prices they hope we'll all go back to our pre-$3 driving habits so they can inch it back up again. Today within about 2 miles I saw regular for $2.99, $3.21, $3.27, $3.59 and $3.69, all name brand stations. I see no legitimate reason for a difference of $0.70 cents between two shell stations a few blocks away. Cozmik 10-20-2008, 06:01 PM OPEC is meeting today to discuss cutting oil production so they can drive up oil prices again...what a racket, Eh? (sorry, just had to:D) Those wild and crazy OPEC guys!!! Guess they don't quite get it. We will keep driving less and cutting into their profits. It's all blatant greed and they should just learn to be happy with their billions in quarterly profits. EH!!;) trucku 10-20-2008, 06:10 PM Yay gas is cheap, but we lost money on our 401...yay... enough to buy gas for like 2 years. Once the US really gets the fuel miser bug they will have to settle for billions instead of billions and billions and billions. Poor guys how will they survive. dmoney856 10-20-2008, 10:22 PM 2.96, here in southjersey but that was like two days ago... turboranger91 10-20-2008, 10:24 PM i filled up last night for $2.27/gal. in independence, mo. 10/26/08 update... $2.07 in independence, mo!!! corkey 10-26-2008, 01:32 PM EH,, EH,, i get it EH,.,, hard to believe we send most of our oil to you guys in the south , and it costs less there,, EH,, ,he he he ,, ?? or is it Eh Eh Eh ,, wyochimneysweep 10-26-2008, 01:45 PM 2.16 here mechjames 10-29-2008, 01:03 PM $1.01 in richmond, bc last night. its under $0.90 in some parts of ontario now. when it peaked at $1.50 average here in vancouver last july, according to gasbuddy.com it equaled about $5.70 US a gallon. BrooklynBay 11-05-2008, 05:59 PM How much is that in US dollars? mechjames 11-05-2008, 06:21 PM 1 US gallon is 3.79 litres, so 0.99 cents * 3.79 = is $3.75 CDN, so with todays exchange rate of 0.85556 it is $3.20US per gallon. BrooklynBay 11-05-2008, 06:27 PM I thought the Canadian dollar wasn't that much off of the US dollar? It looks like you're paying about $0.75-$1.00 more per gallon than the US. Cozmik 11-05-2008, 06:33 PM I thought the Canadian dollar wasn't that much off of the US dollar? The closer we got to your election day the better the US dollar has been doing. It's about .86 cents CDN for a US dollar. And this week I topped up every other day as gas got down to .83 a litre. About $3.15 CDN per US gallon. SoBeLover 11-05-2008, 06:43 PM I filled my truck yesterday for $2.319 a gallon. mechjames 11-05-2008, 07:29 PM canadian dollar was higher then the US dollar a few months ago, now with the economy problems it dropped below 80 cents, but now up to 86. One of the things holding me back from getting a bigger car is gas, and fuel efficiency. It may take me a while to wait for the fuel-efficient model, or to minimize the extra gas expense in some way. turboranger91 11-28-2008, 09:24 AM gas is now $1.38 here in kansas city. it cost me $26 to fill the explorer from empty last night. BWilliams 11-30-2008, 11:53 AM ... damn you, Turboranger. I could only hope to see gas that low around here. Just paid $1.83 at the Indian rez between Buffalo and Rochester. It's like $2.29 anywhere else. filterstb 12-10-2008, 04:33 PM Wohoo! Today it was at $1.69...and with my Von's Club membership I get three cents off of that! Incredible. Is anyone stocking up on gas?
