Check this thread out. It might not be possible with an auto transmission. You would ahve to cut the plate on the floor or buy a plate that is cut from the dealer.

Ok now there are two of us, I still haven't got an answer on this, as for the linkage it just bolts to the tranny, so that should be able to be made up for right? I NEED HELP!!! I can't take this damn pushbutton BS anymore!

It is possible. I found a picture of one today.

Not sure how hard it will be to do it.

I know you'd be going over the price limit that I'm sure you'd want to spend..but if you really want to go over why not get a atlas 2. They require a stick to change the t-case.

If you get lucky you could also use the t-case from an explorer. Some of the older ones came with the manual case as an option. Ford killed it quickly though due to lack of interest.

Yea if only, I would love an atlas II some day down the road, but the things I could do with that amount of money right now, but hey I am glad for the input anyway thanks Leebo!

The Car is on Ebay... A Dealer has it for sale in Arizona. The Thing is the ranger came with a manual T-case that works on the Explorer. My T-case is from a 94 Ranger.

Looking by the shape that explorer is in, you could probally buy the whole thing and snatch the parts out of it for less than a new transfer case would cost. Plus you would have plenty of extra parts for other projects. But then again, maybe you're not the type that likes to have spare cars lying around your yard on cinder blocks.
