EMStaxi 01-04-2001, 12:17 AM Looks Good!!!! Seems like you have larger tires in the back since the front is sagging :)
Nick K 01-04-2001, 12:45 AM Nice looking truck, do you think a torsion twist good fix the front??
Djohnson 01-04-2001, 09:28 AM Thanks for the Complements!
Visit my thread in the Shocks, Suspensions, and lift Kits. I explained some of the problems that I had with the lift.
Right now the torsion bars are backed all the way down. As soon as I get it fixed I will get at least another inch in the front.
F'in Bob 01-04-2001, 11:31 AM That looks so cool! How is it living with the lift, like, the everyday driveability in traffic, around turns, parking, visibility...
Thanks..
newbz 01-04-2001, 12:09 PM Looks great! The lift gives is a pretty aggressive look
Brian1 01-04-2001, 01:15 PM Looks good!

Here is my 97 Sport before the Warrior Shackles.
GRNMACHINE 01-04-2001, 07:31 PM Djohnson,
that is one fabulous looking truck. the tires look awesome. did u have to do alot of trimming to fit them in the wheelwells?
Rick
Djohnson 01-05-2001, 12:11 AM No, not much trimming. I spent about 10 minutes with a Dremel tool to cut off that little plastic leg on the back of the front finder wells. I also moved my front bumper out 5/8".
Cameron 01-05-2001, 07:49 AM Nice truck! I think the Sports look awesome with a few inches of lift. Nice job!
TURDS 01-18-2001, 05:05 PM Hey Nice truck! I've got one but its red and 2wd. About what size are your tires? I'm thinking of 33's and 7.5 in the front and 8 in the back. Are you going to do a body lift as well? If you do decide to do it, i would love to hear about it. Thanks
TURDS
Djohnson 01-18-2001, 06:47 PM Thanks,
My tires are 285 75 R16, that is equal to 32.8" in diameter. I don't plan on doing a body lift.

For the most part the truck seems the same only much cooler! This lift encorporates double rack steering. The fit of the brackets was just a little off so when driving on the interstate I have to keep steering. It might have something to do with my caster.
Cornering is OK, I just take it a little slower now. The steering wheel will return to center after turing a corner.
Parking is still no problem. No rubbing when at full turn.
I love the visibility that I have. I can now see down into explorers and other trucks!
Hope this helps.

soupbone 01-18-2001, 08:48 PM How do rate the trailmaster SSV shocks compared to stock ones? Do you rock from side to side entering drive ways or speed bumps? Stock bounces all over!!!
Djohnson 01-19-2001, 06:56 PM I'M NO EXPERT ON SHOCKS, BUT I CAN TELL A VERY BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE SSV'S AND THE OE SHOCKS.
THE RIDE IS MUCH BETTER IN MY MIND NOW THAT I HAVE THE LIFT ON. IT RIDES A LITTLE MORE LIKE A TRUCK SHOULD.

Check your caster first, not your camber.
PS/ Awesome work. The lift should really help you. Congrats!
Djohnson 01-20-2001, 12:26 AM OOPS, I meant caster. Thanks GJarrett.
Your truck was my inspiriation if you could not tell.
Thanks,
DJ
