today i hooked my tranny temp sensor up. i got the gauge mounted, the sensor ran to the engine compartment and all the mounting hardware i'd need. i ran to the hardware store to get a fitting. when i popped the hood to double check something, i touchecd the sensor line(wire surrounded by coiled wire) to the pos. batt. terminal..oopsy. there was a spark and the part where i zapped is brown. the light to the gauge works. so does this mean i fryed the sensor? i'd like to know before i hook it up. thanks.
