...I have a friend that has a square rock mailbox post...He wants to add preferably, solar house address numbers and a light strip under the top cap...his mailbox is something like the one on the left of this pic...

...He wants to first try and see what his solar options are...If that doesn't work out, the next option is more costly and would require some work to run power out to the Mail box...
...He would then want to run low voltage of some sort but would still rather try with solar first...
...Any and all ideas and/or links would be appreciated...:D

I have never been a fan solar lights They always seam so dim. Maybe now that LEDs are getting more popular they might be better.
This is all I could find.

...Thanks for the links...Those house numbers may just work...;)
...Yeh, the solar lights are dim but I'm hoping someone has a good lead on some new LED solar set ups...:dunno:
...The owner wants something like Tivoli rope lighting under the cap and I'm hoping someone has a lead on those in Solar too...
EDIT: ...I just seen this on one of those links...It may work...

Going to end up with a big solar panel on top of the mailbox then. Also where is the battery going to fit? What about low voltage lights with a transformer at the house. Then direct bury it like landscaping lights are done.

...I have no problems running the power out to the mailbox except, the mailbox is in the middle of a 3 car wide, concrete driveway...:(
...Make the batteries accessible is not a problem, removable cap...;)

Another option is glow in the dark vinyl. I'll take a pic of the glow in the dark on my mailbox and show you the results. Its somewhat freaky to look at when you don't expect it.

...That might work for the number's but I'm not sure it would be illuminating enough for the decorative lighting...Where can I get a sample of that???
