With the talk you hear from washington about wanting to help homeowners has anyone had any luck? I hear the talks but havn't met anyone who the banks actually worked with. Any advice about how you did it?
I tried about 8 months ago with the bank to just try and refi and they said sence I was self employed less then 2 years they wouldn't do it. That was when I still I had about 20% equity in the house.
Now I am about 30-50k upside down in the house so that limits it some what. Wondering if skipping a payment or two would get there attention to maybe make them talk. I hate to do that as my credit score is really high. However I don't see myself buying a new car or a different house for atleast a few years so a bit of a hit wouldn't really matter as I would have time to bring it back up before I need to use my credit again.
Any opinions.
